Garden Walk
Pastel on hand-textured card, using Colourfix primer. Size approx 11 x 9 inches. An imaginary scene. I had been looking through an old local book and took a fancy to the period dresses of the time. Figures rarely feature in my pictures and I wondered how I could use the idea with a floral theme. The sunshade-umbrella was something I wanted to include. At this size, pastel doesn't allow you to put loads of details, so I just went for the general figure shapes and created the garden from memory.
