Original acrylic painting on box canvas; measuring 24 x 20 inches x 2 inches depth (60cm x 50cm x 4cm approx). No framing required. Starting with a textured ground, this semi-abstract of tulips, poppies and globethistles has been built up with layers of acrylic colour on an intuitive basis; including blue and gold metallic effects on the highlights for extra shine. The background surface is rich with overlaid colour, including soft purples, mauves, greeny-browns and muted reds. Work does not require framing, since the canvas edges are painted.
