Soft pastel on Colourfix paper. The old farmhouse door in this picture was one of those wide ones that allows you to see right inside, even before you've walked up the path. The assortment of potted shrubs and flowers made a bold splash of colour against the more severe stone walling (this was a Cumbrian home). Late afternoon bright light had followed a downpour, resulting in shiny wet slate with subtle reflections.
Double antique-white mount with natural wood frame. Currently does NOT have glass. Frame would be fitted with a protective board, to cover the pastel surface in transit. Image size 16" x 12" (40cm x 30cm); overall mounted size 20" x 16" (50cm x 40cm) approx; add another 5cm or so for the framing.
