Pastel pencils with some harder pastels, on dark green Canson card, hand-brushed with Art Spectrum clear pastel primer. Size 11" x 9" (28cm x 22cm approx). Framed with a double layer mountboard, off-white colour; and a narrow black frame with gold line. Overall total size approx. 16" x 14".
The white daffodil is one of only a few that appear each spring, tucked away in a distant corner of the garden. This type retain their snowy-whiteness for just a few days and then go brown very quickly. It accompanies a narcissus in this picture, bright yellow with a striking deep orange centre. The painting currently has lightweight acrylic "glass" in the frame; but this can be easily replaced by proper glass if the buyer wishes. Image below shows framed work on wall.
