Forever Poppies
Original acrylic painting on standard canvas; measuring 24 x 20 inches x 0.75 inches depth (60cm x 50cm x 2cm approx). Unframed, with painted edges. Layers of stain and splatter form the cosmic background for this poppy group, using transparent purple, blue and touches of rose pink. The leaves are painted over gel layers, combed and brushed to create a variety of curves, and touched with pearl lustre paint. Amongst the poppies are scattered clouds of tiny red, orange and white wildflowers, creating a sparkle that reaches up to join the night sky background. A painting created purely for the joy of the night sky and breeze-blown flowers. Price includes UK delivery.
N.B; digital cameras tend to reduce the intensity of some pink and blue colours; in this case, the sky has a little more purplish-pink in it than the photograph here can show. If you'd like to see a larger image, please ask.
