Original acrylic painting on box canvas; measuring 20 x 20 inches x 2 inches depth (50cm x 50cm x 4cm approx). No framing required. A view from Poets Walk, Clevedon, looking out across the sea and further down the coast. The mud-flats are part-covered by seawater, making them sparkle and reflect the blue of the sky; in the distance, a hazy coastline rambles towards Weston, losing itself gradually in the yellow heat-haze. The painting was made over a textured ground of gesso, containing sand and acrylic paste, to provide a sculptured feel for the mud. The colour-scheme is continued round the edges of the box canvas.
