Violets
Pastel on Sennelier pastelcard, 16 x 12 inches approx. These blue-purple violets were very fluorescent and great fun to paint with pastel, but digital cameras are not so good at capturing the purples of the painting. I aimed to capture the gesture of the plant and describe some of its leaves in both deep shade and light. The yellow centres are a perfect contrast to the blue-mauve petals. This picture is currently framed in a double layer mountcard, antique white colour, and a dark brown smooth wooden frame, plus glass, giving an overall size of 20" x 16" approx. Image below shows framed work on wall, photographed at an angle to avoid the reflections.
Price: £65 plus £20 for packaging and delivery (UK); weighs approx 3lbs (1.5kg). The picture can be supplied with just the mount if wished;
